With Greek blood pumping through my veins, it seemed only natural that I chose a career dedicated to food, the enjoyment of eating food, cooking delicious food and understanding individual behaviours surrounding food.

Food really is the medicine of life, and through good food comes much happiness in so many ways.

My aim when working with you is to guide you to achieve your goals without a feeling of restriction. I am confident we can work together in many ways whether it be to improve your gut health and digestion, achieve weight loss or improve your medical conditions.

Through years of working with a wide range of doctors and specialists I have refined my knowledge in health improvement and management to ensure the best outcomes for my patients.

Whatever you want to achieve, I believe it can be done with an enthusiasm for good food, great knowledge and of course enjoyment.

Mediterranean Diet Specialist Dietitian

My love for cooking great food lead to the development of evidence based, nutrition focused lifestyle books. I am the co-author of ‘The Mediterranean Diet – the Lifestyle of Eating” and ’‘Mediterranean Eating Cook.Eat.Live’.

The Mediterranean diet has been proven to manage and prevent inflammatory diseases, reduce risk of alzheimers and dementia, improve mental health state, manage and prevent heart disease, manage diabetes, assist in weight management and of course provide both pre-biotics and pro-biotics to optimise your gut microbiome.

I believe everyone should have the knowledge and skills to confidently prepare delicious food for yourself and your family. My love for the Mediterranean diet has given me the opportunity to work in the space of cooking classes, lectures and corporate engagements all encompassing the principles of the Mediterranean Lifestyle : Eating Well and Living Long.

Weight loss surgery Specialist Dietitian

Deciding to commit to weight loss surgery is a decision that will change your life. My goal when guiding you through your weight loss surgery journey, is to ensure you not only meet your nutrition and weight goals, but that you also work on changing eating behaviours that have made it difficult to maintain your weight loss in the past.

After working with over 2,500 weight loss surgery patients in the last 5 years alone, I have not only learnt the best way to nutritionally support you after surgery, but also how to best guide and prepare you for the physical, emotional and lifestyle changes that come with weight loss surgery.

In my experience, weight loss surgery is merely a tool to assist in controlling your portions and hunger, the rest is up to you! I am passionate about addressing the hard stuff after surgery – the non-hungry eating, the social eating, the convenient eating and the behaviours that have proven difficult to change in the past. This decision to change your life is a journey that I'd love to take with you.

I love that good food is able to nourish us, bring us together and improve our health in amazing ways and I am so lucky that my passion is also my career. While nutrition is my first passion, I have always loved moving and being active and which is why on my weekends I spend my time teaching Pilates.

It is important to me to stay up to date with research and practice evidence-based nutrition therapy. Through applying the evidence we can work together to build a great relationship with food whilst achieving your health goals.

Of particular interest to me is nutrition before, during and after pregnancy. Whether it be to assist in fertility through PCOS or endometriosis management, ensuring best GDM management or returning to your pre-baby weight after pregnancy, I am here to support you.

My approach with every client is to take all lifestyle factors into account and tailor and individualise nutrition advice to specific goals and I look forward to helping you achieve your goals.

Nutrition for Mental Health

Growing up in Southern California, diet culture was a huge part of my life. I tried every diet I heard of, and food became something to avoid, restrict, or fear. Each new fad diet contradicted the previous one and eating became confusing and scary. I know this is the journey many of us have had with food, and it doesn’t have to be that way.  It shouldn’t be that way!  Not only do the foods we eat nourish and replenish our body, but the foods we eat can also nourish our minds and provide comfort and connection to loved ones.

I finally decided to put the diets away, to focus on health gains instead of weight loss, and to listen to my body and what it needed. Learning to eat right doesn’t have to be scary or confusing.  The journey to good health can be a joyous one.  Nutrition and eating well, eating intuitively, and listening to your body and what it needs to thrive can be a rewarding experience, and has the power to heal the mind and the body.

Lets work together to improve your relationship with food, learn to nourish your body and mind, and give you the tools to make lasting and sustainable lifestyle changes. I look forward to guiding and supporting you along this journey.
